MY PhD RESEARCH

ANTHROPOGENIC NOISE POLLUTION IN AQUATIC ENVIRONMENTS

To better understand the effect of anthropogenic pollution, I started my PhD on the effect of motorboat noise on french native and invasive species. I combined ecological and ethological concepts, while learning new tools in other fields such as acoustics. I am currently looking to improve my work by collaborating with other laboratories that have the facilities and experience to carry out this project on a long term basis such as the PLANAQUA platform located in Nemours-Saint-Pierre in France (see mesocosms on photo).

My thesis combined microcosmes and mesocosms studies to assess man-made noise pollution effect to individual and community levels. My research focus on the effect of noise on french's invasive and natives species (fish, invertebrates).
